(Fa)Xanadu

I totally forgot about this game. On page 98 in Internet Invention, Ulmer outlines 4 exotic locales that share the name Xanadu (he doesn't count Citizen Kane, which would be 5) and I now offer #6.
Xanadu is much more than a physical place. It's sacred. For Ulmer, Xanadu is an example of chora. Furthermore, it is a quest - we are trying to end up at Xanadu, or an exotic moment of recognition. This moment need not occur in a place. The sacred nature of a place allows invention to occur through its existence. The name "Xanadu" means much more than the roller skating movie or Charles Foster Kane's home, in fact, it is a testament to the mysterious nature of Xanadu as a concept that allows it to exist as both a home and roller rink.
I have not played FaXanadu, but would be interested to see how it furthers the exotic nature of the place.

Your birfday party looked good. A few questions.
1) Now that you're married, do you have to do the whole "opening the cards in front of people, reading them, and then hold it up for a photo?" I suppose most people do this, but I never pictured you as one.
2) I noticed you had your shoes on inside, and your grandmother was there? What gives? I'm prefer taking shoes off inside, but that's me.
3) I noticed a beer on a table in front of AJ. Was this left there by somebody else, or was he drinking it?
